Situation Analysis for Preparing Proposals on the Management And Conservation of Local Arts, Culture, And History in the Northern Region of Thailand

Abstract :The northern region of Thailand is an important area for local arts, culture, and history, serving as the center of the Lanna Kingdom. This study, conducted as a qualitative research, found that there are several key issues in the conservation and management of local arts, local culture, and local history. From the situational analysis, it was discovered that there are numerous potentials, problems, limitations, opportunities, and obstacles in the conservation and management of local arts, culture, and history in the northern region of Thailand. The study also proposes policy recommendations, objectives/goals, success indicators, as well as several measures/ strategies for the management and conservation of local arts, culture, and history
