Influence of Social Responsibility and Cultural Values on Students' Perception of Sustainable Quality Education

Abstract : This study explores the influence of social responsibility and cultural values on students' perception of sustainable quality education in Nigeria. As the country strives to achieve sustainable development, understanding the interplay between individual values, cultural context, and educational outcomes is crucial. This research investigates how social responsibility and cultural values shape Nigerian students' attitudes towards sustainable quality education, identifying key factors that promote or hinder sustainability efforts. A mixed-methods approach, combining surveys and focus groups, was used to gather data from students in Nigerian universities. Findings reveal that social responsibility and cultural values significantly impact students' perceptions, highlighting the need for context- sensitive approaches to sustainability education in Nigeria. This research contributes to the development of more effective and culturally responsive sustainability education strategies, informing policy and practice in Nigerian higher education.
