Participatory Internal Quality Assurance for Private Vocational Education Institutions in Nonthaburi Province

Abstract : This research article aims to study the current state and needs of participatory internal quality assurance for private vocational education institutions in Nonthaburi Province. The sample group consisted of 108 directors of private vocational schools and 236 teachers in Nonthaburi Province, obtained using the Krejcie-Morgan table, resulting in a total sample size of 344 individuals. Stratified random sampling was used to select participants based on the proportion of the total population relative to the Krejcie-Morgan table results, with a 5% margin of error. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Basic statistics used for data analysis included mean and standard deviation. The research findings indicated that the current state of participatory internal quality assurance for private vocational education institutions in Nonthaburi Province was generally at a high level, while the expected state was at the highest level. The Priority Needs Index (PNI modified) ranking revealed the following order of need: First, defining educational standards and target achievement values, and evaluating and monitoring educational quality (PNI modified = 0.20 each); Second, developing school quality through effective and continuous use of internal quality assessment results (0.17); Third, developing an educational management plan focused on educational standards (0.16); Fourth, implementing the educational management development plan (0.12); and Fifth, following up on educational quality assessment results and reporting annual educational quality (0.11 each).
